We looked for fonts to use for our titles on 'dafont.com'. We looked for fonts that linked with the meaning of the title of the film and also the themes throughout the film. 'Trace Decay' means the decay of memories from your brain. Simply put, it means to forget. Therefore, we have chosen fonts that appear to dissolve or decay into the background.
As a group we have decided that we will show our titles over actual footage rather than showing them over a black background, as the sequence is only two minutes long. Using this method would be boring and we would not get full marks for shot types.
As a group, we felt that this method is a lot more effective in showing the mystery we are trying to portray to the audience. By using the extreme close ups and fast paced editing in our opening sequence, it will be a lot more effective. We will also introduce certain characters from our film whilst we are showing all the titles which will be in a simple font in different corners of the frame.
